Ok - so I haven’t updated the blog in like … 7 months. Yikes. Sorry about that … I’m sure the random and accidental people that show up to this site think it’s been abandoned - it hasn’t! Anyways, I guess blogs are kinda dumb when they’re out in the middle of nowhere on the internet. Who’s going to read them? Spammers? Yep, that’s about it.
So anyways, if you’re curious to know what’s happened with us:
- I have a newphew! I was there, it was crazy.
- I left Juxt and started my own company, that’s doing pretty darn well so far.
- We bought a condo, it’s a nice place to live.
- We went to Cancun for our 1 year anniversary and totally loved the place.
So that’s 2006 in a nutshell. I’ve been playing way too many video games and am actually looking forward to getting back into the swing of full time work again as soon as the New Year passes. The condo is 95% done with the upgrades, and we’ll probably have people over soon. Anyways, thanks for reading, and have a great 2007!!

So my professional life is moving on. For the past year I’ve worked at Juxt Interactive. The experience and projects have been unbelieveable and tremendous for my personal and professional growth. Nevertheless, when it’s time to go, it’s time to go … and it’s my time to go. Friday is my last day at Juxt … and it’s definitely bittersweet. I’m not too happy how things have gone down the past few months, some things improved … others got worse. Anyways, this is the best move for me personally and for my family. What’s next for me then? Stay tuned…

I wanted to write on this year’s edition of television shows … and basically chime in with my 2 cents. It’s not like I watch a lot of TV … basically Niloufar and I have recorded our favorites and watched them when we can, but we’ve been pretty good about trying out new shows. Anyways, here’s my list …
Best Show Nobody Ever Watched: Alias on ABC. What a great show! Season 5 (the final season) has actually been pretty entertaining and action packed. The final episodes are all hot.
Worst Show Everyone is Watching: House on Fox. This show absolutely stinks. The main character is a crackpot jackass doctor who in real life would have lost his license to practice years ago. The constant miracles and affairs this guy gets involved with is ridiculous.
Dumbest Decision by a Network:: Cancelling Arrested Development (Fox). If a show wins an emmy each year it’s on the air for BEST COMEDY and gets low ratings … is the problem the show … or the executives that decide to put it on at the worst possible time, then yank it, then put it back, and then yank it again. A great show down the tubes.
Funniest New Show I Started Watching: This is easy - The Office (NBC). I think anyone that has dealt with a small office and a company of about 20 people just find this show perfect. I practically live this show at times, so I guess it just hit my heart extra special.
What the H. Happened Award: Desperate Housewives had a banner first season with a great mix of mystery, intruige, backstories, murder … and of course adult relations. It all intertwined so well, and even got me to get into the show. This season two has been as bad as season one… how dumb can Teri Hatcher’s character get? Do we care about this baby anymore with Gabi (Answer: no)? Could the murder of Bree’s husband have played out any dumber? Prediction: The show will be off the air after the third season, fourth tops.
Well, that’s it for now, wanted to type that out for the record. Thanks.

So I’m pretty much finally over that horrible cold/sickness/plague that I had. Pretty gross. Work has been monopolizing my time the last … well year I guess … makes having a cool blog and cool websites pretty much impossible at times. But what can a guy do eh? Just his best - and that’s what I’ve been giving!
So I’ve made some great progress with the workshop, they’ve really responded to the Suzuki method of acting/warming up I was taught during my studies at CSU San Marcos. Good stuff! I hope to take them to the next level, and really hope they get good at recruiting for workshop, and teaching the faith to people to get the word out. That’s all we’re trying to do ya know?
So anyways, to the maybe 3 people out there that come to this site to read the blog - yo yo this one’s for you!

So, as many of you know the LA Kings are my favorite hockey club. And as many of you know, for the third consecutive season the LA Kings failed to make the playoffs. Their season was, yet again, earmarked by injuries, bad coaching, a lack of team chemistry, and poor goaltending. I think the blame not only should point to coaches John Torchetta and Andy Murray, but with the disappointing play of players like Jeremy Roenick (who blamed his skates for poor play), Aaron Miller & Mattias Norstrom (injured and slow), Matthew Garon (very inconsistent goaltending), and Sean Avery (broken brain).
I will be somewhat surprised if Kings GM Dave Taylor survives the season as well. He put the team on the ice, hired the coach … this was his master plan failing yet again. The Kings thought they loaded up on good forwards and that could carry them. The Anaheim Ducks loaded up on D, got a couple of forwards, and realized mistakes and quickly rid themselves of them (specifically Federov). Easy to see how the plan is supposed to be executed, and how the plan failed to execute when looking at these two teams.
I’m not sure how to right the Kings ship. I’m not sure sticking with Garon is the smartest thing because we might have seen his best which isn’t all that good. The Kings up front do not have much firepower … Cammy, Frolov, Conroy, and Demitra. Re-signing goal scoring winger Mark Parrish is a must, as he can leave as an unrestricted free agent. The Kings need a solid center for that 2nd or even the 1st line, as well as replacing outdated and old defenseman like Miller and Norstrom whose skills have diminished with age and the new rules emphasizing speed.
So yet another year goes by the sad tale that is the LA Kings.

So I have to share with you a sunglasses miracle.
I have these great sunglasses that mom got me for christmas, real nice Ray Bans ($60!), and I left them in my car and it fell in between the seat and the chair. Niloufar and I left to go to an open mic talent “Crimson Spot” up in LA, and on the way up there i realize that the glasses MUST have fell out of the car when I opened the door (in the parking structure of our apartment building). So I was really sad because these glasses are sentimental (obviously) … so we get back hours later, and i’m guessing they aren’t even there. But they ARE there … unfortunately, right past the wheel of a giant Envoy SUV which had run over them while parking in the spot.
So i figured they are toast right … guess what … despite the fact that the SUV ran them over (the glasses were in its case) , the glasses were FINE. NO breaks, NO scratches. Fricking AMAZING - an absolute miracle let me tell you. Just goes to show you - don’t be attached to material things (for many reasons!). You may not have lost something when you were absolutely sure you did.

So my best friend Dan had a great saying about the Los Angeles Kings and their season and “drive” to the playoffs.
“Fool me once shame on me. Fool me 93-94, 94-95, 95-96, 96-97, 98-99, 99-00, 01-02, 02-03 shame on you.” What a great saying. The LA Kings are *notorious* for playing very well early on, taking it easy mid-season, and then going into a freefall the last 2 months of the season to finishing with a record just good enough to barely miss the playoffs - and it looks like this season is no different.
Shame on us all.

Well, after some serious drugs including a steroid nasal spray and anti-biotics, I’m 90% healthy once again and back to work. I’m glad to keep my mind busy at work, and as many of you know, I do love my job! Being a Project Manager and having all the responsibilities I do is fun and challenging.
Anyways I was thinking, there are some funny little facts about me that you may not know. Here they are:
- I once accidentally stepped on Kelly Slater
- Tony Gwynn recognized me once
- I once had influence in the Pro Wrestling industry
- I outplayed Mike Sexton’s brother at poker and busted him
- I was a theater & performing arts minor in college
- Dr. Martin Gannon said I was a better student than Carly Fiorina (former CEO of Hewlett Packard)
- I work weekly with Mark Hoppus’ people
- I know the guy that invented the XBox
- I was once told I look like John Travolta by a drunk guy
- I was once told I look like Prince by a drunk woman
- I once threatened a former Mighty Ducks GM in a parking lot
- I don’t know how to ride a bike
- I’ve been published in Surfer and Wahine Magazines
That’s all I could think of for now. I tried to think of really random stuff you may not know.

So I’ve been sick for 9 days now … it sucks! I finally went to the doctor and found out I’ve got the Mother of all sinus infections. Something called “Sinusitis” which is totally treatable and whatnot, but trust me people, it really bites the big one. I’ll spare all the gory and icky details of what I’m going through. My work was down and out last week , with one day 50% of the office out sick. Small company, poor ventilation, strong virus. You do the math.

So, I’ve been down and out with the flu since last Sunday … which has really been un-fun and altogether and terrible experience. I hate being sick … you all know that. But this flu that is going around right now is bullocks … it’s a killer man. Anyways it’s almost been a week and I am still congested and my ears are plugged. I’ve gotten a lot of the energy back and was able to make it to Feast last night, and tonight Niloufar and I are headed to San Diego to spend time with my family. Should make for a great weekend.
Sunday morning we are having our super duper bunch spectacular at the Baha’i center, which i am REALLY looking forward to. The last one we had was amazing, I had 2 amazing omlettes, some pancakes, and lots of pineapple (my favorite fruit!).
